Author(s)
List authors in order of contribution not seniority, where each could present the publication at a conference
The first author is usually the person who did most of the research and writing. In academic publishing, author order is often based on contribution not seniority, so senior professors may put their names after their students. Put a student's name first if they did most of the work, even if the idea was the advisors. Students learn a more when they are first authors. All co-authors should understand the paper well enough to adequately present it at a conference. If not, recognize their contribution by acknowledgement rather than authorship.
